A look at the Flyers last 3 games in November

The month of November has been a good month for Flyers hockey, but it could’ve been a whole lot better. The Flyers are still struggling on offense as a whole, but Jake Voracek, Sean Couturier, and Oskar Lindblom looked very good in the Flyers last win against the Canucks, 2-1. That line generated both goals, and will look to continue their hot play into the last 3 games of November. Tonight (11/27/19), the Flyers will be on the road in Columbus. The Blue Jackets are 10-9-4 in 23 GP, with 24 points, 7th in the Metro Division.

The Flyers will then host the Detroit Redwings on Black Friday, at home. The Redwings, who are on a 6 game losing streak, and are 7-16-1 on the year. This game scares me since we already lost to Ottawa & Calgary, so the Flyers have to pounce on this one early and show no mercy, all points matter since the Metro is so tight as of now.

They will then finish out November against the Habs in Montreal on Saturday (11/30/19). Montreal are winless in their last 5, blowing a 4-0 lead to the New York Rangers last Saturday, and losing 8-1 Tues. night to the Bruins at home. The Canadiens are 11-8-5 in 24 GP with 27 points, 3rd in the Atlantic.

So, what do the Flyers have to do to have a strong finish out November? They need to have a better finish in all 3 upcoming games and continue that streak into December. Working overtime, they haven’t been able to close out a game in regulation for just about this whole month, having so many games go to a SO or OT. The Offense still needs to get going at a consistent pace, as they now may have another producing line in Couturier, Lindblom, and Voracek, along with Giroux, Frost, and Konecny. If the 3rd line of Laughton, Hayes, Farabee can get hot, the Flyers will pick up more wins and a lot more goals, and be a dangerous team in the Metropolitan Division.
