The Phils split a doubleheader today in Miami to the Marlins. Really could have used a win in both those games today but I guess I’ll take it. The Phillies are now 22-20.
Nola pitched great in game one for his first career complete game. (Though it was seven innings so it’s not really a complete game). He only gave up 3 hits and shut out the Fish. The offense took care of the rest in game one plating 11 runs.

Game two was looking like a rough one from the start. It was a bullpen game as reliever Blake Parker would get his second career start. It was just a bad game to watch. The Phillies pitchers allowed way too many baserunners to the Marlins and are actually lucky that they only gave up five runs. The Phillies did have chances to get themselves back into the game multiple times with two, three runners on, but couldn’t come up clutch at any point. Just a rough game to watch for any fan.
